Examination and Evaluation

Evaluation

Dr. Logan’s primary goal is to identify root causes of illness that may be negatively affecting your health. Through a variety of diagnostic methods that he has learned through extensive training, Dr. Logan will attempt to determine where an imbalance in the body may be causing dysfunction and ill health. Once this disturbance has been identified, then he will recommend a comprehensive and individualized treatment plan to help you regain and maintain an optimal state of health. The goal of all recommended therapies is to remove health stressors, evoke your body’s innate healing potential and restore balance of your mind / body / spirit.

  • Comprehensive medical evaluation: Includes thorough history of the present illness, physical examination, review of laboratory, radiologic and other testing results.
  • Applied Kinesiology
  • Electro-Dermal Screening (EDS)/Meridian Stress Assessment: This form of testing involves measuring the bioelectrical feedback along the acupuncture meridians located in a person’s hand and feet. An ohmmeter measures electrical resistance along the acupuncture meridian, which assists Dr. Logan in pinpointing the source or root cause of the symptoms.
  • Chinese tongue and pulse diagnosis: When appropriate, Dr. Logan also implements the ancient and proven diagnostic approaches used in Chinese medicine to pinpoint the root cause of your symptoms.

Laboratory Testing

  •  When appropriate, Dr. Logan will order the appropriate lab work to help identify causative factors of illness. These lab tests are specific and comprehensive. Specimens from the following may be obtained to ascertain the appropriate information.

          a) Blood
          b) Urine/Stool
          c) Hair
          d) Saliva

Diagnostic Tests

Thermography or Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging: A non-invasive clinical imaging procedure for detecting and monitoring a number of diseases and physical injuries by showing the thermal abnormalities present in the body. It is used as an aid for diagnosis and prognosis, as well as for monitoring therapy.
