Acupuncture

imgAcupuncture is derived from Asian sources, and is practiced in both pure and hybrid forms. Therapeutic insertion of solid needles in various combinations and patterns is the foundation of medical acupuncture. The choice of needle patterns can be based on one of two principles. Traditional principles, such as encouraging the flow of energy through classically described acupuncture channels, or modern concepts such as recruiting neuroanatomical activities in segmental distributions.  A combination of these two principles may also be used. The adaptability of classical and hybrid acupuncture approaches in Western medicine environments is the key to their clinical success and popular appeal.  Dr. Logan may use acupuncture therapy to treat these conditions:  acute/chronic pain, vertigo, asthma, Bell’s palsy and/or neurologic diseases.

Diet and Nutrition

imgThe continued depletion of minerals in our soil and decreased antioxidant levels in our foods has created serious nutritional deficiencies in the United States. The foundation for ALL healing is diet/nutrition therapy combined with exercise and mental/emotional/spiritual work. Through a variety of testing methods, Dr. Logan will develop a personalized nutritional program to promote wellness and evoke the human healing potential.  Conditions that can be helped with an individualized diet/nutrition therapy are: Candida/yeast overgrowth, Chron’s disease/ulcerative colitis, celiac disease, diabetes/insulin resistance and many others.

Heavy Metal Chelation

imgChelation is used for heavy metal toxicity as determined by specific lab testing.  Specific agents are administered that specifically bind to the heavy metals (such as mercury or lead) in your body, which are then eliminated through the urine.  Dr. Logan prescribes both EDTA IV therapy and oral chelation therapy depending upon the needs of the patient.
